Big Changes Coming to Southern Nation News and Dixie Drudge

It's been a long time coming...

New Format and Platform Coming!

There have been a lot of changes to Southern Nation News since it launched in 2001. Over the next month I will be moving the site to a new platform (this one) with a slight format change. This new platform will be a lot easier to manage and it will cost a lot less than the current arrangement. We have always taken great pride that we have never run an ad or charged for anything at Southern Nation News. This has always been an all-volunteer outfit. (Yes. I know it sometimes shows)

• At no time should you get a request or demand for any any money! Although a donation button may emerge eventually, it will be an option, not a demand.

• Those of you who are subscribers (to the old site) might get a message for confirmation as you are migrated so just follow any instructions provided.

• The new site might look a little different, but it should be faster and less cluttered.

• When you see a nice cadet-gray background you’ll know it’s (hopefully) done.

• Today in Southern History will once again have it’s own site and dedicated domain, KnowSouthernHistory.Org since its daily post rotation schedule does not work well with the new system

• Those of you who have need of the coded Southern Messaging System will find that will reside at the top of the right sidebar of Today in Southern History once the conversion is complete.

I am assured that the change should be “seamless.” Anyone who has done webwork knows that that is almost always an exaggerated claim. So be patient. Before you know it Dixie Drudge and Southern Nation News will be back in the service of our beloved homeland.
