CAIR Meddling In Southern County's Business
CAIR Urges Tennessee Lawmakers to Reject Bill to Keep Confederate Flag in County Seal
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today urged Tennessee lawmakers to reject a bill that would keep a Confederate flag on a county seal in that state.
That bill, which could be used to protect the seal of Williamson County that shows a Confederate flag draped over a cannon, has already passed in the state Senate and is set for a vote in the House on Thursday.
Washington, D.C., based CAIR had previously called for the removal of the Confederate image from that seal.
“Symbols honoring the traitors of the Confederacy who defended slavery, anti-Black racism and white supremacy should have no place in our society,” said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper. “We urge state lawmakers to reject this bill and instead devote their legislative efforts to bringing people together for the betterment of the state and nation.”
Hooper said Washington, D.C., based CAIR has repeatedly called for the removal of Confederate names, holidays, flags, statues, and symbols nationwide.
CAIR’s mission is…
Our session is over so how can they be voting on a bill on Thursday??? What we really need in my opinion is a bill naming CAIR as a terrorist organization.
If you don’t get rid of the muslims, it will inly get worse.
