Sons of Confederate Veterans group holds black powder competition in San Saba
John Anderson of Williamson County took the first-place trophy at the Black Powder Turkey Shoot, hosted Oct. 5 by the Sons of Confederate Veterans Saltworks Camp No. 2353 of Lampasas. The runner-up was Gary Lehmkuhler of Copperas Cove.Thirty-five people were in attendance, with 18 shooters competing.The event was held at C S Farm in San Saba County and raised nearly $1,000 for future projects…
