Gay Pride Flag Becomes Official City Flag of Boise, Idaho
The gay pride flag is now the official flag of Boise, Idaho. Mayor Lauren McLean, a far-left Democrat, pushed the flag change in response to a new state law. That law regulates which flags local governments are allowed to display.
Earlier this year, the Idaho legislature passed House Bill 96, banning government entities from displaying flags except local, state and federal.
“This is a flag that, for over a decade, we have flown because it is a symbol of who we are as a safe and welcoming city,” McLean said. “It is Boise, and the response that we received from local Boiseans makes that clear to all of us that it is Boise.”
Many local citizens were infuriated by the mayor’s decision – basically declaring that Boise pledges allegiance to the rainbow flag. One native resident said the flag in no way represents him or his family.
