A 3 Judge panel of the DC Circuit Court of appeals dismissed our appeal on Tuesday 11 MAR declaring our appeal “moot” and that because the Memorial remains were (illegally) given to Virginia (although still in federal custody) the court was unable to provide relief.
Our DC Attorney and I were surprised at how flimsy and weak the dismissal was – “it’s like the court deliberately ignored the facts presented, including the Army lying to the lower court Judge about following legal procedures before disposing of the Memorial.”
Defend Arlington will file a Motion for rehearing en banc – (before the entire DC Circuit Judge panel), which we must file before 25 APR.
Plus we are working on additional plans to prevent the Reconciliation Memorial remains being illegally turned over to Virginia!
Trump/Hegseth can restore the Reconciliation Memorial with the stroke of a pen – but the American people need to TELL THEM TO DO IT!
You can call President trump and tell him to restore the Reconciliation Memorial to Arlington National Cemetery 202 -456-1111 and Virginians tell Gov Youngkin 804-786-2211, glenn.youngkin@governor.virginia.gov to give it back to Arlington National Cemetery
