The 10th Annual Battle Flag Raising at the South Carolina StateHouse!
Thanks to Flags Across the South for raising the Battle Flag at the state house in Columbia, SC EVERY year on the anniversary of its removal order by that RINO opportunist Nimarata Haley.
Supporters gathered at the South Carolina Statehouse on Saturday to mark the 10th annual Confederate flag-raising and remembrance ceremony.
The rally commemorates the removal of the flag from the Statehouse grounds on July 10, 2015.
Braxton Spivey, president of Flags Across the South, addressed attendees, calling the event a tribute to Confederate soldiers.
“It’s in honor of a Confederate soldier,” Spivey said. “That’s a soldier’s banner — nobody owns it, nobody has the right to it. After the war, other organizations chose to take that flag and use it for their own purposes and disgraced my ancestor’s battle flag.”
The ceremony has been held each year since the flag was removed following the 2015 mass shooting at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston.
