Exceptional analysis of asymmetric warfare tactics. The distinction you make between surgical sniping and terror-driven tactics in collapse scenarios cuts right to the psychology of control. When snipers blur the combatant/civilian line, they're not just takign territory, they're attacking the mental infrastructure that allows people to function in public space. That Northern Ireland data from 1972 really drives it home becuase even trained soldiers couldn't adapt fast enough to the constant threat.

Snipers are being replaced with assassin's drones. Fly up, ID and shoot in head...or for a group, claymore mounted. And if high priority, a swarm used with a Barrett 50 cal as backup. Either way...
