Texas' Gentle Giant
Donald Ray Williams of Floydada, Texas didn’t start his solo music career until he was 42 years old. He soon achieved 17 number one charting songs. I personally wore out several 8-Tracks of Don’s. Known as the ‘Gentle Giant’ this tall Texan with the smooth baritone voice and amiable manner became a fan-favorite world-wide. We lost Don in 2017 and he is sorely missed.
