All Rise for the Florida Guitar Army! Nobody could consume 23 minutes with dueling Strats and Les Pauls like The Outlaws . Formed in Tampa in 1967, they gave a master course in how to burn stretch strings and wear out expensive hardware. The late Hughie Thomasson was one of the few Southern Rockers that exclusively weilded a Stratocaster and his work earned him the knickname of “The Flame” and a spot in the Fender Hall of Fame.
