I’ve been pulled over multiple times with my gun in the magnet holder right by my hand and I told him I had a gun right there and he said thanks for the heads up

My youngest son leaves for basic training in a couple weeks as an MP and I do have a Blue Lives Matter sticker

My son and a good friend had similar situations.

Both did exactly what the article talks about, what their concealed carry classes taught.

Both had no issues. In fact in the case of my son, he had one incident with a (legal) knife and another with a firearm. In both cases the deputy(s) secured the weapon, finished up the encounter, then proceeded to have conversations with him about his handgun or knife.

Pleasant experiences, no escalations, everyone walked away safely.

Amazing how common sense and civility works.
